It is Saturday. Snow fell during the night. Nevertheless, almost 40 martial artists from various clubs in Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia meet for the traditional annual course with Frank Pelny at SG Stahl Blankenburg, whose Jiu-Jitsu department is headed by Nils Wyschka. This course was held for the 25th time!
The focus in the first two training hours was body dynamics, i.e. how to use the hips and trunk correctly to create whipping techniques for blocking and attacking. The whole thing was strengthened synchronously with a partner in a coordinatively demanding combination of steps.
For everyone over the age of 16, defense against attacks with knives was practiced in a further two hours. The multiple SaCO combination for defending against attacks with knives was once again completely convincing.
After intensive training sessions, the participants went into their well-deserved weekend, exhausted but satisfied. Certainly many of them will meet again for the next course on January 20, 2024.
